Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych (KDPW, The Central Securities Depository of Poland) is responsible for the settlement of transactions on the regulated market and in alternative trading systems (ATS), the operation of a central securities depository, the provision of a range of services to issuers, including intermediation in the payment of dividends to shareholders, assimilation, exchange, conversion and split of shares, execution of subscription rights, performance of tasks relating to the administration of the Guarantee Fund, the operation and management of a compensation scheme, monitoring the number of securities issued against the number of securities in trading, Trade Repository services including the maintenance of derivatives trade details, ARM services including the reporting of trade details to the supervision authority, as well as numbering agency services including the issuance of unique identifiers to securities and legal entities.
The shareholders of KDPW, each holding equal shares of the company are: the State Treasury, the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the National Bank of Poland. KDPW shares may be purchased exclusively by: companies operating a stock exchange, companies operating the OTC market, Investment firms, the State Treasury, the National Bank of Poland, banks and Incorporated entities or other organisational units conducting activities related to the registration of securities, as well as the clearing or settlement of transactions in securities or operating a regulated market, having their registered offices in the territory of: an EU Member State other than the Republic of Poland; a European Economic Area Member State; or an OECD member country, if subject to the supervision of the relevant regulatory body in any such country.


      

KDPW_CCP is a modern clearing house and clears transactions on the regulated market and in the alternative trading system and the operation of a clearing guarantee system. KDPW_CCP clears transactions using a range of mechanisms which reduce the risk of counterparty default on a systemic basis. 
The company KDPW_CCP is 100 percent owned by Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych S.A. (the Central Securities Depository of Poland). Eligible as the Company’s shareholders are exclusively: KDPW S.A., companies which operate a regulated market in the territory of the Republic of Poland, the National Bank of Poland, as well as the following entities which are participants of the Central Securities Depository of Poland or participants of the clearing system operated by the Company: banks, investment companies and foreign investment companies.
