Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych (KDPW) launches a new service as of 1 April 2021 to address the requirements for corporate boards relating to remote voting by companies’ statutory bodies: eVoting-board.
The new service is based on existing experience with the implementation of general meeting solutions with the eVoting option. Non-repudiation, confidentiality, security of information and the system rely on separate IT architecture and blockchain technology.
eVoting-board is an application supporting remote voting at meetings of supervisory boards (and their committees) and management boards. The application also supports voting outside of meetings. The service includes two components: the application Organy Statutowe - Głosowania (Statutory Bodies – Voting) available to Issuers who hold meetings of their corporate bodies (supervisory boards and management boards), and the eVoting-board application dedicated to members of corporate bodies voting on resolutions.
The service is addressed to Polish issuers of securities: companies whose shares are registered in KDPW.
The KDPW IT system supports remote voting of management boards, supervisory boards and their committees at meetings held by means of direct remote communication as well as voting outside of meetings, by circular procedure, from any place, including on smartphones. The system provides voting records and ensures secure voting.
The test environment available free of charge since 1 April 2021 introduces the product functionalities and allows voting users and Issuers to test them.
